ABOUT THE MISSION:

Mr. Costa enlisted on 30 June 44 and served aboard the USS Callaghan (DD792) as Fireman 1st Class. Notably, Mr. Costa was a survivor of a Kamikaze attack which sank ship. He would have celebrated his 100th Birthday on 6 June 19. This will be a flag line, flag folding, rifle volley & Taps mission.

12:15 pm – Ceremony starts
12:30 pm – end of service, quietly fade and debrief
This service is at the family residence SE of Kalama and has a very steep, paved driveway. Ample parking is available on mostly flat and hard-packed gravel. If you would rather cage it to this mission that is perfectly acceptable. There will be some “shuttling” capability to the residence as well. As always, we will make it work

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
