His family has requested that the PGR attend his services. The mission is a ‘go’ and all contacts have been made. Mr. Jimmy Jenkins, Sr. entered the Army February 15, 1943 in Tyler, Texas. He became a squad leader, serving in Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. Mr. Jenkins achieved the rank of TEC 4, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, EAMe Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, 3 Overseas Service Bars and the American Theater Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged October 30, 1945.
Services: 11:00 am Saturday, May 28th at Ward Chapel AME Church, 501 South Allen Blvd., Marshall, Texas, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Marshall.
Staging: at the church from 9:00 to 9:30 am with a riders meeting at 9:30 am. BIG FLAG BIKES ARE REQUESTED. Directions to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain. All new members are requested to sign a PGR Release of Liability prior to Flag Line. Please remain flexible as to the requirements of the mission (SEMPER GUMBY).
