ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family invited us to stand a flag line at the funeral service and again for the interment service. SGM Romero earned Three Bronze Stars, Two Purple Hearts, Two Army Commendation Medals, Four Good Conduct Medals, Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and a Master Parachutist Badge.

Riders will stage at the funeral home. After the briefing, riders will stand tall and silent while family and friends arrive. After the service begins, flags will be furled and returned to the support vehicle. Riders will then be debriefed and dismissed. There is no procession.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.

The PGR will stage at the Information Center at DFW National Cemetery. After the briefing, Honor Bikes will be selected. The son has requested that one rider fly his Dad’s Green Beret flag (Jeff Wike has accepted my request for this honor). Remaining riders will proceed to the assigned committal shelter, set the flags and await the arrival of the procession. Riders will stand tall and silent during the interment service that will include full military honors. After the service, the flags will be returned to the storage locker and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.
