Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited to stand for Vietnam War hero Private Jimmie Duane Stafford, age 67. Jimmie was drafted by the U.S. Army soon after high school graduation in Davis, California and moving to Milton Freewater, Oregon to work in the Humbert family businesses. Jimmie, a Private (E-1), served in the Light Weapons Infantry in Vietnam (69-70) and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960-Device, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal. In 1971, Jimmie transferred from active duty to U. S. Army Reserve until his release in 1975. Jimmie was a humble and very likeable man and shared very little about his military experience. Please join us as we pay our respects and honor this hero and his commitment to serve our great nation.
