Honor Mission

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Jim Sims has requested that we stand for their Hero and I have informed them it will be our honor to do so. USAF A2C Sims served a four-year tour during the Vietnam ERA and it is unclear if he served in country. Regardless, he stood for our country and it is now time for us to stand for him. This will be a two-day mission with evening flag line and escort the next day to the Georgia National Cemetery.

Special Instructions:

This is a two day mission.1st Day Stage – 5:45 PM on 6-26-19 Meet at the rear parking lot of Woodstock FH. After a short briefing we will stand a two hour flag-line from 6-8 PM.

Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.

2nd Day Stage – 10:00 AM on 6-27-19 Meet in the parking lot of the Woodstock FH. After a ride briefing, we will line up for the escort to the Georgia National Cemetery. KSU 10:30-10:40 for the 11:30 service. Enter quietly as the funeral service will be taking place at the opposite end of the funeral home.

Special Instructions:

For those meeting the escort at the Georgia National Cemetery, meet at the flag-pole area. Bikes park on the right sidewalk at the top of the hill. Cages park on the right side of the roadway going up the hill. Be sure to leave room for other vehicles to pass. After a short briefing and shelter clearance, we will proceed to the assigned shelter.
