DESCRIPTION:Jesse L. Horton\, Jr.\nUS Army WWII Veteran\nMooresville\, Cleveland\, NC\n8 JUN 16\n\n\n\nOur presence has been requested by the family for CPL Jesse L. Horton\, US Army.  Mr. Horton proudly served with Company C\, 305th Engineering Battalion during WWII.  He was drafted into the Army and served in WWII as a Combat Engineer in Patton’s Third Army.  There he fought in three campaigns…Ardennes\, Rhineland\, and Central Europe including the battles through France to the Battle of the Bulge\, through Germany to the Black Forest\, into Austria where his unit was the first to arrive to liberate the notorious Ebensee Concentration Camp. “ J.L.”  was awarded the Bronze Star for gallantry.
