Jerry Wayne Lukers, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard has been graciously invited by the family of Sargent Jerry Wayne Lukers, United States Army, to stand in his honor and escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery. SGT Lukers served in the US Army and was discharged in June 1978. He honorably served our nation for six years and distinguished himself while in Vietnam. SGT Lukers received the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars. Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Bronze Star Medal, and Expert Rifleman. Military honors will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts or jacket, long trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles, and appropriate eye protection while riding on board the base.

1300 pm – KSU to Trahan’s Family Funeral Home
1310 pm- Arrival at Trahan
1330 pm- KSU to Barrancas National Cemetery
1400 pm- Honors at Barrancas National Cemetery
