The family of American Hero Jerry Lee Vanderpool, 71, of Springfield MO, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders extend honors and show respect for their beloved U.S. Army veteran.
Terry Lee Vanderpool served our country with honor and distinction from June 13, 1962 to June 12, 1965 including service in South Korea. Hero Vanderpool underwent basic training as an Infantry soldier at Fort Benning Georgia and had qualified as an expert with the M1 rifle, and expert with the M14 rifle. He served over one year in Korea with the 9th Infantry 197th Brigade, 3rd Army.
There is to be a visitation at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at the Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery, Springfield MO
