ABOUT THE MISSION:
Our hearts are saddened by the passing of U.S. Army Soldier, SP5 Jeff Lovelace, 72. He proudly served one year, two months, and nineteen days in the Vietnam War during 1970-71, with the HHC 1st SIG BDE. Decorations, Medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Lovelace graduated from Fisk University in Nashville Tennessee prior to being drafted in the Army. After military service he received a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Worchester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. He was hired by the Gillette Company in Boston, working there for over 20 years as an engineer. He opened an import/export business and traveled worldwide. Survived by three sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Graveside services will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
