ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Mr. Davis, who served in the U.S. Army during WWII, has requested the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line at his graveside funeral service. Mr. Davis was a member of Gray-Corkerell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3746 in Rock Hill, SC. In March 2019, he received a Quilt of Valor, a lifetime achievement award. Due to COVID-19, other military organizations will not be in attendance. The Patriot Guard Riders will be the only ones rendering Honors at this time.

For PGR missions during the COVID-19 virus we will abide by all rules and regulations set by the CDC and the State of South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Each attendee is responsible to bring a personnel face-covering. It does not have to be an actual mask, any sort of covering will be sufficient, as we will be setting an example that “We are observing all CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19”. Bikes are not necessary as this is a graveside memorial service. In keeping with the requirements of the State of South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs, PGR members will maintain at least a six-foot distance between each other during the briefing and flag line. We are also instructed to be no closer than forty feet from the family funeral tent.
