DESCRIPTION:James Patrick Griffin\, III\, 60\nUS Army Veteran\nTallahassee\, FL\nAug 6\, 2016\n\n\n\nThe wife of Mr. Griffin has requested the PGR to take part in honoring her loved this Saturday the 6th of August at 10:00 am. \nJimmy is survived by his loving wife of 26 years\, Andrea\, his three daughters\, his two sons\, his mother\, and mother-in-law. He also leaves behind six grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father\, James Patrick Griffin\, II. \nObituary for James Patrick Griffin \, III\nJames Patrick Griffin III\, 60\, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 21\, 2016. He was born in Venice\, Florida but grew up in Satellite Beach. After serving in the U.S. Army he made Tallahassee his home. Jimmy was a loving husband\, father\, and grandfather. His passions were surfing\, motorcycle riding\, and spending time with his family. Most of Jimmy’s life was spent as a cable electronic equipment splicing contractor. At the age of 55\, he returned to school and launched a new career in occupational therapy. \nA memorial service will be held at Bevis Funeral Home on Saturday\, August 6th\, at 10 a.m. A ‘surfer paddle out’ in Jimmy’s memory will be held in South Melbourne Beach\, on Sunday\, August 7th at 10am. \nBevis F.H.\n2710 N. Monroe Street\nTallahassee\, FL 32303. \nWe will stand the silent flag line in his honor showing his family that there are those that still care and appreciate our veterans and service personnel. \nPlease take time to come and stand with your Brothers and Sisters as we honor this veteran with our flag line. \nThe family has requested an escort from their home to the funeral home.
