Honor Mission
James Musick, Retired
South Mills, North Carolina – 06-12-20


Major James Musick served our Country Faithfully and Honorably for 20 years. He fought hard for his country staying tough against all odds but lost his battle with cancer. It is now our turn to stand with honor and show our respect for his service.
While attending college, he served with the US Navy and decided that wasn’t for him. He took a commission in the Army upon graduation. His impressive list of achievements and billets held include but are not limited to; Airborne School, Org. Maint. Officer, Intell School, NUC/Chem TAR Analysis, and Pershing Officer. He served with the 35th Artillery Battalion, Pershing Officer while in Germany and the Eastern Washington University ROTC Officer in Charge.  His awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Parachutist Badge, Sharp Shooter Badge Rifle M14 & M16, German Marksmanship Badge, National Defense and Army Good Conduct Award.

Special Instructions:

We will set and stand the flag line along the outer perimeter of the church grounds as guests and family arrive to bid farewell to a much-liked man. Upon completion of the Memorial Service we mount up and escort the family to the location of his final resting place.
At all times, please maintain social distancing during briefings and flag lines, as outlined by the CDC and the governor’s guidelines. Face coverings are recommended and social distancing from non-household members is required.  Just because you are comfortable touching and being near other people, that does not mean that the other person is comfortable or safe with the contact. Stay at least forty feet away from the family and funeral tent. If you have exhibited any symptoms associated with this virus in the past 14 days, please reconsider your attendance. Each member is responsible for his or her own safety and health during the mission. The PGR assumes no responsibility for your well being. There will be no flag lines at funeral home or church visitations. The Ride Captain will not provide hand sanitizer. Ride safe, stay safe, stay healthy.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
