ABOUT THE MISSION:
James Kelly is a United States Army Air Corps veteran. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps from1942 to 1945. James’s MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) was 1035 Advance Bombardier. James was promoted to Lieutenant 2 nd Class in March of 1944. Prior to joining the Army Air Corp James gained the nickname of “Trigger “due to his skill in hunting rabbits. James served as a bombardier instructor for new bombardiers on the B-24 bomber out of Carlsbad, New Mexico. After full filling his obligation Lt, James Kelly was honorable discharged in December 1945.While in the service to his country he was awarded the following; American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Sharpshooters Badge w/ Pistol Bar, Marksmanship Badge w/ Carbine Bar. America has lost another of the greatest generation to serve. It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

Special Notes: Although all prior statewide mandates have been lifted at staging locations, all members must still adhere to the following:*All members are required to carry a face mask/cloth covering at all times during the mission. There are still partners(funeral homes, cemeteries, churches) that may require masks to be worn as well as social distancing. Some families may also request masks/face coverings be worn. We will always respect their wishes. *If you wish to wear a face mask at a mission, you are free to do so. *If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve. *Flag support can begin with the normal procedure of water and snacks for members. While disinfecting the poles is always a good idea, it is no longer required
