James Joseph Bonin Jr.

Lt Col Bonin was a Navigator on the B52’s and honorably served his country for over twenty-two years in the United States Air Force, retiring on 30 September 1991.  He was 76 years old at the time of his passing.  Lt Col Bonin was awarded numerous awards:  Distinguished Flying Cross (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Air Force Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Air Medal (2 OLC), Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (With V Device 5 OLC), Air Force Organizational Excellence (1 OLC), Combat Readiness Medal (1 OLC), National Defense Service Medal (with Device), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. The Patriot Guard will escort Lt Col Bonin from Harper Morris Memorial Chapel to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line in his honor.

12:00 PM – Safety briefing for all riders
12:15 PM – KSU for Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, Florida
12:45 PM – KSU to Barrancas National Cemetery w/LEO escort
1:30 PM – Honors at Barrancas
Naval Air Station Pensacola requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be worn while on Pensacola NAS

Covis19 precautions will be observed per PGR National, including the mandatory donning of face masks (covering both mouth & nose) throughout the mission, social distancing of 6 feet, 20 feet from the family and the use of hand sanitizer.

Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
