Mr. Fuquay enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and  proudly served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He re-enlisted in the U.S.  Navy SEABEES. In 1976\, he was selected as the first SEABEE of the year  for the Pacific Fleet.
