DESCRIPTION:James “Jim” “Pappy” Wells\nRetired Firefighter\nDATE: Friday July\, 11\nLOCATION: Emporia\, KS\n\n\nA memorial service to celebrate the life of James “Pappy” Wells will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday\, July 11th\, 2014 at Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home 605 State Street in Emporia KS. \nJames was a Firefighter for the Emporia Fire Department for 24 years and retired from the Department in 1998. He was a beloved family man and devoted his life to helping others. He was a member of the Fire and Iron Motorcycle group which will be leading the Funeral procession. He will be missed by all that knew him\, I never met someone so genuinely happy to meet me. \nStaging: 1:00 p.m. At the funeral home 605 State Street\, all motorcycles will be parking in the front of the facility on State Street. Fire and Iron members will be parking along 6th Street behind “Pappy’s bike. \nBriefing: 1:15p.m. \nFlagline Set by 1:30p.m. \nEscort to the Cemetery: after the service  most of the road to the Fowler-Hunt cemetery is paved except the last 1.5 miles\, it is hard-packed with some loose gravel. If you would like to go on the escort but not on the gravel there is a curve you can go around and wait for the rest of the procession to go by. \nThere will be Flags and water available at the service.
