AFTER ACTION REPORT: James Isaac Jones, US Navy Korea Veteran, Tulsa, OK

Thursday, 13 February 2020 was a sunny but very cold and windy day. The PGR staged and briefed, flags had been posted across the front of the church. Before the briefing the coach arrived with Mr. Jones, the PGR formed a Respect Line and assisted with the movement of Mr. Jones from the coach to the church. At the conclusion of the briefing a Moment of Silence was held remembering our Blue, Gold and Silver Star mother and families, followed by a prayer. The PGR manned the front door and a Flag Line was formed across the front of the church. When the service started all flags were retrieved and prepared for the next mission. The PGR then gathered in a warm room provided by the church. At the conclusion of the service, the PGR moved to the front of the church, as Mr. Jones flag was held, Taps were played. The flag was folded and presented to one of Mr. Jones sons. The PGR plaque and Invocation Letter were read and presented to the other son. A Final Salute was presented and the PGR departed the church. A Respect Line was formed as Mr. Jones was moved from the church into the coach. After the coach door was closed the PGR was dismissed and departed the area.

Thank you, to the Jones family for inviting the PGR to be a part of this service to Honor this Hero. Thank you to the PGR riders that took the time out of their day in such cold weather to “Stand and Honor” this Hero.

“Rest in Peace” James Isaac Jones, US Navy Korea Veteran, your mission is complete, you are gone, but your service to this Great Nation will never be forgotten.

    Respectfully submitted:
    Mike “Penni” Pennington
