ABOUT THE MISSION:

Patriots, we have been requested to escort the Cremains of Cpl. James Gartland, US Army, Vietnam, back home to Pennsylvania from Fayetteville, NC. His Urn was discovered in an abandoned storage unit and was turned over to the Off-Road Outreach group for Homeless Veterans. After many months of research, his next of kin has been located and have requested his ashes be returned to them. This will be a “Pony Express” Escort involving several States.

Several MC Groups have expressed interest in being part of this escort. They are cordially invited but if requesting to ride together, must fall in at the rear of the escort behind the PGR Riders.
All participants must be fueled and ready to go KSU upon arrival of the escort. Stops are 15 minutes for fuel only with the exception of the Ruthers Glen stop, which will be a 30 minute stop for fuel and food. LEO Escort is being arranged for some sections of the escort but not all. We will be traveling on interstate at interstate speeds. Ensure all flag mounts are capable of withstanding highway speeds. The RCIC may request all flags be furled for safety reasons.
The PGR RC for each phase of the escort is the ONLY person in charge of the escort. His orders and directions are to be followed. Participants are invited to be part of the entire escort or phases as they choose. Please inform the RCIC of your intentions at the beginning of each phase.
All times are estimated, based on projected speeds and highway conditions. Please be patient if the escort is running behind, Simper Gumby.

Please ensure all are fueled prior to arrival of escort and the gas pumps are clear to enable riders to go directly to pumps to fill up.All non-PGR riders wishing to ride as a group will fall in behind the PGR Riders.
