James F. Rhodes, Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:

MSG (Retired) James F. Rhodes, age 97, passed away on September 19th, 2019. MSG Rhodes, a WWII veteran, served honorably in the Quartermaster Corps for over 20 years. After retirement, he was very active standing for and obtaining rights for fellow veterans. Some of his many accomplishments include getting a major road renamed “Veterans Parkway”, observing the holidays for veterans at the Government Center’s Eternal Flame, and remembering Medal of Honor recipients. He was also very active in Masonic Lodge #130 in Pineview, Georgia.

After a short briefing, we will stand a visitation flag line from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

Special Instructions:

After a briefing, we will stand a flag line prior to the start of the 11:00 am service. After the service, we will escort the funeral procession a short distance to Parkhill Cemetery where MSG Rhodes will receive well deserved full military honors. MSG Rhodes not only fought for our safety and freedom during his long Army career, he also continued to fight for us for many years after his retirement. He stood for us, now it is time for us to stand for him.
