ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Radioman Chief Petty Officer Smith, 74, has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Riders’ presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. RMC Smith faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy/U.S. Navy Reserves and performed duties as a Radioman. Upon completion of his service, RMC Smith received an Honorable Discharge. During his time in service, he was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation (2), Meritorious Unit Commendation (2), Navy “E” Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3), Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Award (5). Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and stand in Honor and Respect for our Hero and his Family.

My condolences go out to the family and friends of James Eugene Smith, U.S. Navy/U.S. Naval Reserves veteran. He stood for us and now it is our turn to stand in silent honor and respect for him. Rest in peace hero.

May family and friends find strength in acknowledgement that James Eugene Smith, Retired USN, USNR, having served this nation honorably, was willing to sacrifice all that another might taste or maintain liberty and stood courageously where few dared tread and for such dedication to nation, duty, and service rendered, is so remembered and honored among patriots.
