ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of SP4 James Edward Turpin have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their hero who stood for us in a foreign land. SP4 Turpin enlisted in the United States Army in 1970 and immediately served a tour in Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star and the Combat Infantry Badge. He then transferred to the US Army Reserve.
He was a master carpenter with Charles Slay Construction and was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. We will stage at Ivie Funeral Home and prepare for Escort to Diamond Hill Baptist Church for Funeral and Interment services.
