DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nJames Edward Garrett\, Veteran\nUSN –\nSpringfield\, Missouri – 09-06-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe family of USN Aviation Machinist Mate (ADJAN)\, James Edward Garrett\, has honored the Patriot Guard Riders with a request to provide an escort from Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and stand a flag line at his committal service where full military honors will be rendered. Hero Garrett enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1971 and proudly and honorably served our country as a Aviation Machinist Mate (E-3) until June 1971. He was assigned to the Guantanamo Bay Naval Air station and earned the National Defense Service Medal. Following his naval service he ventured into a number of vocations including carpet laying\, building log-homes\, and even being a tour guide for a cave.
