ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the American Legion Love Field Post #453 to honor the memory and service to our Country of PFC James E. Rogers by standing a Flag Line at his interment service. Mr. Rogers’ family is Post #453.  Mr. Rogers was Co I / 144th Infantry, his assigned duties were rifleman, camouflage squad leader, carpenter and messenger.   He was injured at sea near Mindoro Islands, Philippines and received the Purple Heart.  He was a proud member of the US Army baseball team.

Starting Time: 1:00 pm
Riders will stage at the DFW National Visitor’s Center for a short mission brief. Honor bikes will be selected, and they will move to the appropriate staging lane to prepare for the procession to the committal shelter. The remaining riders will move to the designated committal shelter, set the flags and establish the Flag Line to await the arrival of Mr. Rogers and friends. When directed, riders will return the flags to the storage area, have a short debriefing and be dismissed.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
