Rice\, Jr.\, Veteran\nUSMC\, USMCR – Vietnam\nMarietta\, Georgia – 07-21-19\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nU.S. Marine Corps\, Private First Class\, James Edwin Rice\, Jr.\, served from July 1965 until his honorable discharge in April 1969. As a Marine Rifleman\, he saw combat action in Vietnam in 1968 and 69. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal w/1 star\, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device\, Presidential Unit Citation w/1 star\, National Defense Service Medal\, and a Good Conduct Medal. As PFC Rice once stood for us\, we will be honored to fulfill his family’s request to now stand for him. After a short briefing\, we will stand a flag line from 2 pm until the start of the memorial service at 3 pm. At approximately 3:30 pm\, we will proceed to the sanctuary for the rendering of  military honors by the USMC honors detail.
