James “Banzai” Ward McClain, Jr., Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:
TSgt James “Banzai” W. McClain, Jr. honorably served in the United States Air Force from July 1974 through July 1994 as an Aircraft Loadmaster and received the following awards: Airman’s Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, AF Commendation Medal with one device, AF Achievement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award with Valor and three devices, Combat Readiness Medal with one device, AF Good Conduct Medal with five devices, National Defense Service Medal with one device, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and numerous other awards. His last duty station prior to retirement was with the 15th Special Operations Squadron (AFSOC).

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be worn while riding aboard the NAS.
12:00 PM – Safety briefing for all riders
12:15 PM – KSU to Harper-Morris Funeral Home, 2276 Airport Blvd.
12:30 PM – Arrival at Harper-Morris Funeral Home
01:00 PM – KSU to Barrancas National Cemetery w/LEO or Escort
01:30 PM – Inurnment at Shelter “B”
