James Alton Cline Comment

  1. Mission Complete: 6 June 2019–SGT James Alton Cline, USA WWII / Korean War Veteran, OKC / Del City, OK.

On Thursday, 6 June 2019 there were 5 Patriot Guard Riders in 5 cages who attended the mission to Honor the Military Service of USA WWII & Korean War Veteran James Alton Cline.

The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue Star, Silver Star & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

The members present handheld the American and Army Service Flags and manned the doors as family and friends arrived for the service. When the service started, those PGR members returned the flags to the flag vehicle.

At the end of the service, the RCIC and a member made PGR presentations to the daughter before exiting the building and standing a Respect Line as the Hero was moved from the church to the coach to be transported to Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City, OK. for burial when the heavy rains plaguing the Okla. City area abated later in the day.

Thank you to all of my fellow PGR for attending this mission. Your presence made a difference to this family. Most of all, thank you SGT James Alton Cline, Veteran of both WWII and Korea, for your service to this great nation. Stand down Sir, your watch is over, and you will not be forgotten.

    Respectfully,
    RCIC: Dennis Denson
