James Anthony Yamonaco, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the Vietnam War service of James A. Yamonaco of Leicester, who passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2018. Mr. Yamonaco served active duty in the US Army Ordnance from 1966-1968, including a 12-month tour in Vietnam with Company D, 704th Maintenance Battalion. Mr. Yamonaco was honorably discharged on 14 September 1968 with the rank of Specialist-5 (E-5), and was awarded the following: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; 2 Overseas Bars; Army M-14 Expert Badge.

Funeral service at the funeral home at 10:00 AM.hFollowed by dignified transfer and escort to Leicester Cemetery, Leicester, NY for interment with military honors. Leicester Cemetery is located off Rt. 39/20A, west of the Village of Leicester, near the intersection of Dunkley Road.
Please arrive with a clean 3×5 American flag or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large vehicle flags are securely attached.
Special Note: On 13 December 2015 the PGR stood for James’ father, USMC WWII Veteran Anthony Yamonaco.
We are very busy on Saturday in Region-1 with 3 missions. Please do whatever you’re able to help support one of the missions.
The passing of James Yamonaco was very sudden and unexpected. His loving family could use our support.
