James A. Schiltz
United States Army WWII Veteran
Town of Nokomis, WI
Saturday, September 24, 2016

James A. Schiltz was born in 1917 and went to his well deserved rest in January 1999. Jim’s family was not aware of Military Honors and he was accorded none. He was simply laid to rest quietly without receiving the respect he deserved for his service in the US Army in WWII.

Jim was deployed to the Philippines for 31 months as a cook. His family would like to ensure that Jim is accorded the honor he so richly deserves.

There will be a Memorial Service performed at the Veterans Memorial in the Prairie Rapids cemetery, just yards from Jim and the family members that have gone before. His family has asked us to join them as Jim’s children receive the flag he fought for and Taps and his rifle salute are finally offered.
