Honor Mission
Jacob Dale Headrick, Retired
Jacksonville, North Carolina – 10-25-21


Jacob Dale Headrick, 38, of Jacksonville, NC passed away Sept 3, 2021. Born in 1983, he was a proud US Army veteran, honorably retired, having served tours in Korea, Iraq, and Africa. He served in the Army as a Combat Engineer, Paratrooper (67 jumps) and received his Sapper Badge. Jake received the Army Achievement Medal HHC 44th Engineer Battalion (COMBAT) as the Battalion Commander Drive in Korea 02′-04′. In 2005 he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for leadership in Iraq. In addition he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for 10th Special Forces Group, Airborne, The Army Achievement Medal from the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion and the Army Commendation Medal w/Valorous Achievement for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Upon retirement, he was employed as a Realtor for Onslow County. Jacob loved his wife and kids and the times they enjoyed on the water. He also led a high school boys Life Group through Catalyst Church and was a mentor to many. His biggest achievement in life was his family and being a dad. He is survived by his wife and four children, his parents and three siblings.
