SUMMARY:Jack Mitchell Walker\, 77\, USA Veteran / North Charleston
DESCRIPTION:Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to stand in honor of their loved one’s life and service to our nation. PFC Jack Mitchell Walker served our country in the United States Army from 15 May 1956 to 1957. Mr. Walker was so patriotic and doing like his brother did by joining the military service\, he didn’t tell the truth about his age and enlisted into the US Army at Ft Jackson SC and later was honorably discharged for that reason. He received the National Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal for his service. \nAfter his honorable discharge\, later he was an owner and operator in transporting containers to and from local port authority. His interest was in motorcycles and cars. He had a special love for one car in particular\, which was a 1972 Corvette Sting Ray. This was the last year for the corvette to have chrome bumpers. A few years ago\, he sold the corvette and continued on with his life. With getting older\, his family felt it would be nice to get his corvette back to please him. The family found the car in North Carolina and bought it back from its owner and brought it back home to surprise Mr. Walker. Up until his passing he was very pleased he had his corvette back home again. Mr. Walker’s ashes will be escorted to Parks Funeral Home in the same corvette he loved so well. His best friend will be driving him there. \n2 Part Mission: 31 May 2016 \nMission Details: The mission will consist of two parts\, both on the same day.
