Owens served in the US Navy from June 15\, 1951 to February 17\, 1954. A significant portion of his Navy service was as a Seaman (SN) aboard the USS Juneau (CLAA-119) light cruiser during the Korean War. The ship earned 5 Battle Stars during its combat service in the Korean conflict. Upon conclusion of the Inurnment Service\, the flags will be furled and returned to storage followed by rider debrief and dismissal.\nNOTE: Use extreme caution when entering shelter storage areas being on the lookout for snakes.
