His family has requested that the PGR attend his services. The mission is a ‘go’ and all contacts have been made. Mr. Harris entered the army in July of 1943. He saw service at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and central Europe. Mr. Harris was wounded in France in September of 1944 and wounded again in Germany in November of 1944. He was honorably discharged October 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. His Awards include the Purple Heart, Silver Star Medal, and Bronze Arrowhead.
Services: 10:00 am Friday, September 23rd at Pine Grove Assembly, 4596 SH 149, Beckville Texas, 75631, under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Carthage, Texas.
Staging: at the church from 8:15 to 8:30 am with a riders meeting at 8:45. Directions to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain.
