ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family of SFC J.D. Smith, United States Army, to escort him and stand in his honor at Barrancas National Cemetery. SFC Smith’s awards and decorations include the Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and (1) Overseas Bar. SFC Smith was 90 years of age when he passed from this earth.

Special Instructions:
Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts or jacket, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and proper eye protection. This attire will be worn at times while riding on the base.
NOTE: Masks are mandatory at all times from arrival at staging until completion of the mission except when riding. Maintain 20 Ft separation from family and 6ft minimum between riders. At conclusion of the mission return flags to trailer/vehicle and wipe them down before stowing.
