[SIZE=+1]The State of Mississippi has lost another WW II Hero.

U.S. Army Veteran Ira A. Lovett, Jr. has passed away and his family has requested the Patriot Guard Riders help honor and pay respect to him for his service to our country.

After attending the MS Institute of Aeronautics, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, was assigned to the Flying Tigers when his aircraft was shot down over Burma. He was a POW for over 7 months before he escaped.

PRIMARY STAGING: Tuesday, 6 September 2016 at 8:30 am at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 Hinds Blvd., Raymond, MS 39154. The PGR will provide a silent US Flag Line for visitation until the beginning of the funeral service at 11:00 am.

ESCORT:
Immediately following the funeral service the PGR will escort Mr. Lovett to Raymond Cemetery located at 409 Port Gibson Street in Raymond and provide a silent US Flag Line for the graveside service.

NOTE: The escort distance is less than 2 miles.
