***MISSION ACCOMPLISHED*** Today the Patriot Guard Riders honored the service of Howard Louis Widman,Jr., United States Army, as we Stood Tall and Silent during his interment. The certificate of our appreciation was presented to the family at the Public Information Center prior to the service.
The procession to the Committal Shelter was led by Dave and Tom serving as honor bikes. Eli, Don, Martin and Andy were blessed to carry Mr. Widmann his last few steps as James and Lisa stood by, ready to assist. A very special thanks to Eli for the snacks and water; Laura, who so tirelessly gets our Missions out to the Riders; to Dan for getting the Missions posted to the National website and as always, to Linda, who took the photographs, showing this family the true face of the Patriot Guard Riders, those who so willingly give of themselves and are found standing in the Flag Line.
To Miss Wanda, and all of Mr. Widmann’s family and friends, thank you for allowing the Patriot Guard Riders to stand today in honor of this American Veteran. May God comfort you in your loss.

To Rick and all the PGR-
I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all of you in the PGR for the dignity and respect you showed my father at his funeral yesterday. We are so appreciative to have had you there. You made us proud for my dad and made what was the worst day of our lives a bit more bearable by your presence. Thank you so much for the service you provide and the sacrifices you have made and will continue to make for those who have served our country.
Bill Widmann, son of Howard L. Widmann
