SUMMARY:HOTH - Sign Unveiling
DESCRIPTION:The family of Corporal Matthew Britten Phillips has graciously invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand with them again in honor of Corporal Matthew Britten Phillips.  Corporal Philips was one of nine soldiers killed in The Battle of Wanat in Afghanistan on July 13th\, 2008.  He was a member of the U.S. Army’s 2nd Platoon. “Chosen Company”\, 2nd Battalion\, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne)\, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. His unit was just days away from the end of a 15 month deployment when they were attacked by the Taliban. \nWhile in the U.S. Army\, Corporal Phillips was the recipient of the Bronze Star medal with one bronze oak leaf.
