Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to lead an Honor ride consisting of 17 Veterans and active duty soldiers deployed in combat with the 23rd Infantry Regiment of the US Army stationed FT. Lewis. This regiment was born in 1861 and tasked with the mission of protecting the then, Oregon territory. They were deployed, among other wars, to Afghanistan and during the Iraq Campaign as a Stryker force; they were also known by the moniker, “Tomahawks”. These heroes have reunited for fellowship and healing. It is our distinct Honor to lead these Heroes to their fellowship BBQ in which we have been invited to participate in.
