DESCRIPTION:The Patriot Guard has once again been asked to participate in the annual Wreaths Across America program to be held at the Iowa Veterans Home. As we have in the past\, we will be collecting donations for the residents based on their want list (see below).  \nDate/time: 11:00 AM\, Saturday\, 31 Dec\, 2016 \nLocation: Malloy Leisure Resource Center\n                 Iowa Veterans Home\n                1301 Summit Street\n                 Marshalltown\, IA \nRally time: 10:00 AM; briefing at 10:40 AM \n** Volunteers will be needed to help move wheelchair bound residents to the resource center. ** \nRC: Rick Claassen\nhfd650@yahoo.com\n319-230-9740 \n~~~~~ \n1. Items Currently Needed: \n·Word Search\, “Fill-it-in”\, and Variety puzzle books\n·Men’s aftershave/cologne (no aerosol)\n·Full size personal care items (shampoo\, deodorant\, men’s body wash)\n·Candy bars – full size & snack size\n·Individually wrapped snack items (“Little Debbie” snacks\, chips\, cookies)\n·Microwave popcorn\n·Cans of soda pop (diet & regular)\n·Bottles of ketchup and mustard\n·Forever Postage Stamps\n·Used tennis balls for the bottom of walkers\n·Heavy material to make bags to hold wheelchair pedals\n·Men’s Cloth Handkerchiefs (NEW – white)\n·Large Print Playing Cards\n·Adult Coloring Books\n·NEW CLOTHING DONATIONS:  Only new clothing will be accepted. Primarily XL and above  (as large as 5X)\, Tennis Shoes (Size 10 mens)\, Tee Shirts w/Pocket\, Underwear\, Gloves\, Coats\, Socks\, Long Sleeved Undershirts\, Sweat pants\, Sweat Shirts\, Pajamas\, are especially needed\n·iTunes gift cards for Music Program\n·Relaxation\, country and big band CDs\n·Country\, big band and patriotic songbooks\n·Money – earmarked for dorm refrigerators\, artwork\, recliners\, and lift chairs\n·Popcorn for Tuesday Popcorn Program (white regular popcorn – not microwave)\n·Craft Items – Dry erase markers\, colored pencils\,  simple snap on models\, paint or color by number\,  modeling clay\, canvases\, acrylic and watercolor paints\, temper paints\,  any kids or simple art projects\, fabric\, sewing machine thread\, old jewelry/beads \n2.
