DESCRIPTION:Patriot Guard and Associates\, \nWe have been asked to participate in a Restoration of Valor Ceremony for Walter Gutoski\, Cpl\, US Army\, who was awarded the Bronze Star and a Field Promotion for Meritorious Service as a tank commander in the Battle of the Bulge on 25 April 1945. Under heavy fire and despite being hit\, Cpl Gutoski destroyed two German tanks and a Gunner position to pave the way for his unit. His unit commander named him “Fighting Walter” for his actions.The government lost his paperwork for his Bronze Star and Promotion\, however\, we will award it to him posthumously at a graveside Ceremony to remember his valiant service. The presentation will be made by a surviving Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge.
