The Patriot Guard Riders have been honored with a request from an individual who will be walking from St Louis, MO to Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC. She is doing this to honor her husband who served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army in Korea and Vietnam. She hopes to raise money for veterans, including the Gary Sinise Foundation.
The PGR has been invited to show our support for this cause on Saturday 20 August 2016 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Riders will stage at MotoMart at Exit 184 in Rolla at 6:00 pm with KSU no later than 6:15 pm. We will ride as a group to our destination in Rolla. Riders can stay as long as they choose.
Our honoree will depart Rolla the next morning and will begin her journey at the Interstate 55 and Interstate 270 interchange. She expects to arrive at Arlington National Cemetery on October 10, 2016.
As is always the case with these types of missions, details are subject to change. I will keep you posted of any changes. It is possible that we may provide a partial escort from Rolla to a location to be determined later. She will be in a cage until she reaches St Louis.
