Special Event – Sr Airman Bradley R Smith Annual 5K Memorial Run, Troy, IL, 10 Sept 16
The family of Sr Airman Bradley Smith is requesting the presence of the Patriot Guard for the annual 5K Memorial Run in honor of their son’s memory. Bradley made the ultimate sacrifice of 3 Jan 2010 attempting to save the life of a wounded comrad while under heavy enemy fire. Bradley was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart Medals, posthumously, for his heroic efforts.
Members of Bradley’s TACP team will be attending and participating in the run, just as they have done in past years. The actual run will begin at 8am, but prior to that Bradley’s TACP brothers will take part in a ceremonial run. Everything will take place at Tri Township Park in Troy, IL. Event staff will direct you to where we will stage near the starting line.
