PGR has had the great honor to be invited to stand a flag line at the Heroes Run and Walk during their Patriotic opening ceremony.
PGR will be showing their support in conjunction with Fairfax County Police and Fire Department as well as the United States Park Police. The United States Marine Corps will be involved as well.
They will have post race activities as well, including breakfast and a classic car show.
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a 5K race held each September across the United States and at overseas locations including Japan and Afghanistan. Over 3000 people have signed up to run or volunteer to honor our Military and First Responders and to remember those who died on 9/11 and in the wars since.
This race will honor Travis Manion, a USMC 1st Lieutenant who grew up in Alexandria and was known for his leadership, character and courage. Travis was killed by a sniper in Iraq in 2007 while bravely assisting two of his fellow Marines to safety during an ambush.

Note: The Semper Gumby rule will definitely apply for this great mission as so many people are involved, things seem to always change at the last minute.
Flags might be provided, but please bring a 3×5 flag if you can.
NOTE: The staging area will be right in front of the school, but parking is either on the street before the school or in the school parking lot in the back of the school. I went there two weeks ago and the back parking lot is closer.
Looking forward to see you for this great happy mission
