[TD=”width: 85%”]HOTH – Savannah Honor Flight / Savannah, GA, 29 April 2016

It is time for another Honor Flight to take our WWII and Korean Veterans to see their war memorial in Washington, D.C. free of charge.

This is a very moving event for these aging vets and some may not be with us next year. If you have attended this mission in the past, then you know how special it is to see their faces as they just can’t believe people would come out to see them or even care about them. Please make plans to attend this year’s Honor Flight and show them how wrong they are. You will be glad you did.

Please arrive early enough to secure your pass. We must be prepared to depart the staging area no later than 6:45AM as we will be escorted on post to meet with our vets and set up a flag line at 7AM as our veterans check in and board their bus. After our veterans board their bus, we will stand down and escort them a short distance off post as they make their way to Washington, DC. You must have Full Finger Gloves, ID, boots, DOT helmet and a reflective vest to gain access. NO WEAPONS. If you do not own some of this gear come anyway, most of the time we move as a group and are not checked (but you must stay with the group).
