The family of Radarman Third Class Andy Walter have requested the Patriot Guard Riders of Georgia, be present during his celebration of life service at the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. It will be our honor to fulfill that request and stand a silent flag line of respect and honor. Petty Officer Walter served his country in the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS WILTSIE (DD-716) from September 1965 until his release from active duty in September 1969. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. A brother-in-law of Mr. Walter is a South Alabama PGR member.
This will be a flag line only mission during the visitation and service.
