HONOR FLIGHT CONYERS

Conyers, Georgia – 05-08-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Honor Flight Conyers is taking another group of WW II, Korea, and Vietnam veterans to Washington DC for a day of sightseeing and fellowship, and once again, the Patriot Guard Riders will assist Rockdale County Sheriff’s Dept in escorting them to the Atlanta International airport. Getting to meet these wonderful veterans and spend some time with them is probably one of the most enjoyable things we get to do as Patriot Guard Riders, so come on out and meet some true American heroes, shake their hand, and say “thank you” as we escort them down to the airport.

Honor Flight – Conyers

Conyers, Georgia – 26 Sep 2017

ABOUT THE MISSION:

Honor Flight Conyers Escort for 2017 will take place on 26 September. For those of you who have never been on one of these escorts, talk to someone who has, and when you do you should be excited and pumped up. Just like our Heroes of the Greatest Generation will be, as they board buses for the early morning trip to the Atlanta Airport for their flight to Washington D.C.to visit their Memorials.

VERY IMPORTANT I need for those that are going to attend this ESCORT to include your name (Not your road name or aviator name) to our Delta Airlines Point Of Contact Sheri.R.Mullins@Delta.com, Their Name, Date of Birth along with all the additional information on the front of your Drivers License. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE so information can be confirmed. and gate passes can be issued to everyone, so they can get through the metal detectors and to the terminal where our veterans will be departing for Washington DC for a day they “will never forget” Not my words, theirs. FYI: Delta is giving me a 09 Sept. cut off date for submitting gate pass info.

The veterans will be arriving at the Legion Post starting around 4 AM. I ask that everyone be at the Legion NLT 04:15 so as we can help with the unloading of the wheel chairs, and to simply mingle with our veterans, as they start the very long day before them knowing that they are indeed very special to us all. Believe me the early morning trip is well worth it.

We kick stand up approx. 04:45 from American Legion Post 77 in Conyers, Georgia with a full escort to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. We will be escorted by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department,

If you have anything on you that you think will set off the security alarms, it probably will. Leave in your bike.
