ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand for AMS3 Harvey S. “Pops” Williams, Jr. He was born October 5, 1938 in Germantown, TN. Harvey was a U. S. Navy veteran having served from 1956-1960. He was the former owner and operator of H & L Trucking for 18 years. He was a retired police officer having worked for the Mountainburg Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. He trained officers and was Site Supervisor at NEA Hospital for Securitas Security Systems. After retiring from law enforcement he served as Harrisburg School District Resource Officer. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the Fault Line Riders #633 Chapter of Christian Motorcyclists Association and Gideon International. He enjoyed cooking Chinese stir fry, woodworking, motorcycles, riding his Can Am Spyder, lifting weights, watching cop shows and boxing and he loved jazz music and telling jokes. He loved all of his children, family and friends so much. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and one daughter. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, four daughters, three sons, two sisters, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Please join us to honor and respect this True American Hero.
