ABOUT THE MISSION:

Mr. Mullins spent four years in the Air Force stationed at Carswell AFB.

He was on the first hydrogen bomb mission, Project Operation Ivy, in November of 1952 to the Marshall Islands.

We have been invited by the family of Harry Mullins to join them in honoring the life and military service of their loved one.

Special Instructions:

The ride captain will give the safety brief for the procession portion of this mission, after which time the bikes will be relocated to prepare for the departure of the procession to DFW National Cemetery.

NOTE: There will be no water/support at the church, please hydrate the day before and bring water with you. Please be prompt and on time for this portion. If you arrive after the safety brief has been given, you MUST contact the ride captain to receive the brief, otherwise you will not be allowed to participate. Departure time is set for NO LATER THAN 12:15 p.m.

Special Instructions:

We will stage at the Visitor’s Center. After the mission brief has been given the flag bikes will be assigned (if need be) and moved to the designated staging lane. The remaining riders will proceed to the assigned shelter to place the flags and prepare for the procession bringing Mr. Mullins, his family and friends. At the conclusion of the committal service, and at the direction of the ride captain, the flags will be retrieved and returned to the shelter storage where they will be furled and stowed. Once the post mission brief has been given all riders will be dismissed.
