ABOUT THE MISSION:
Bill was born March 28, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from high school, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1980 where he proudly served his country for the next 20 years, until his retirement in 2000. Bill was a decorated veteran who served in the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit, from which he participated in critical operations that included locating, identifying and rendering safe multiple forms of ordinance during the Gulf War. Subsequently, he served as an EOD training officer, a position from which he oversaw the training of 6 EOD commands and was responsible for over 550 personnel across 6 states.

Four honor bikes will be identified and moved to the staging lane to accompany the procession. The remainder of the riders will proceed to the designated committal shelter, establish the flag-line, and prepare to receive the family and friends of Mr. Stewart. At the conclusion of the service and when directed by the RC, the riders will return the flags to storage, be debriefed and dismissed.
COVID-19 protocols stipulate that riders must have face masks/coverings available for locations where they are required to include DFW National Cemetery (i.e. – when family/guests interact with you, when entering the church or funeral home, while standing the flag-line and when social distancing (6′) is not possible).

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
