SGT Harold “Gene” Caldwell, Veteran
North Little Rock, Arkansas – 04-02-20


We have the privilege of honoring US Army Sergeant Harold Eugene Caldwell, 76. He was born on 28 Dec 1943 in Pontotoc, MI. He joined the Army after high school as an infantryman, serving for 1 year and 11 months, including 13 months in South Korea. SGT Caldwell earned the M14 Marksmen Badge. After the Army he worked for Bridgestone/Firestone for 38 years. “Gene” was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and especially golfing on any course that would have him. He was a deacon, Sunday School teacher and chairman of several committees at Cedar Heights Baptist Church for many years. He was a lifelong Ole Miss fan, and he was filled with love and kindness for all, but especially towards his family. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, two sons; two brothers, two sisters and six grandchildren.
