ABOUT THE MISSION:
Private First Class Harold Glenn Epperson, USMCR was a United States Marine who posthumously received the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military honor, when he threw himself upon an enemy grenade in order to save the lives of his fellow Marines during the World War II Battle of Saipan on June 25, 1944. It will be our honor to stand for him on the anniversary of his sacrifice during a Remembrance Ceremony.
